KIIP, TOPIK or everyday Korean: choose the right goal
A language exam, an integration programme and a conversation class serve different purposes. Start with the requirement you need to meet, then choose the study route.

If you need an exam result
- Check the required TOPIK level and accepted result with the school or institution asking for it.
- Use the official TOPIK site for registration, test format and current dates.
- Leave time between the test and any application deadline that needs the result.
If you are considering KIIP
- KIIP covers Korean language, culture and understanding Korean society.
- Use Socinet for the current placement, course and assessment process.
- Any immigration benefit depends on the application and conditions; course participation is not an approval.
If daily life is the priority
- Choose a conversation class with situations you actually use.
- Practise asking follow-up questions, not only memorising a script.
- Combine structured lessons with short, repeated practice rather than waiting to feel fluent.
A little Korean goes a long way
- 배치평가는 어떻게 신청하나요? — How do I apply for a placement assessment?
- 토픽 시험을 준비하고 있어요. — I am preparing for the TOPIK test.

Find a Korean class that fits your week
The best class is one you can attend consistently. Compare the level, timetable and teaching focus before deciding that a course is right for you.
Helping a child start school in Seoul
Begin with the school or local education office for your address. Grade placement, documents and language support need a conversation about the child’s own history.
Support for a young person adjusting to Korea
Language is only one part of settling in. School routines, friendships and plans for the next stage can need support too.
A student’s first week: organise the essentials
You do not need to solve a whole semester on arrival day. Start with the university contacts and documents that the next tasks depend on.
